So these really are a quick five minute Mani…. Just divided between two days. I was super tired last night, so I just slapped on some base coat and covered my nails in China Glaze Shower Together and Essie Super Bossa Nova. Then some quick dry polish, and I was off to bed. Then, this morning when I had some spare time getting ready I just grabbed my nail art pen and doodled away! I had been wanting to try cheetah print like this for a while, and though I’m glad I got it out of my system, I definitely like it more when there colors in the middle. It’s more fun.
Yawnnn. I’m up way to early, it’s 50 degrees out, and I really don’t want to go to class yet. So I’ll kill some time by showing you guys the awesome tribal Mani did on the girl next door. She only wanted one tribal finger on each hand, and for them to be different. I used Essie Braziliant, Orly Jealous, Much?, and Barielle Wool You Marry Me. Everything was then topped off with some of INM Northern Lights, which is a quick dry topcoat that has holographic shimmer in it. So fun.
Now this is her right hand…
And this is her left!
So Friday evening I had two girls knock on my door and ask if I could do their nails… They were roommates, and were super excited to have me do them. One decided on the cloud mani, which used three colors. China Glaze In The Lime Light, Piggy Polish Strong Like Jazz, and Zoya Maisie. The other decided on a solid mani with an accent thumb. The green is O.P.I. Hot Fun In The Summer Lime, and the silver and white are from nail art bottles with no names. Boo. But they both loved them, and I think they turned out neat!
That’s a good sign right? Haha. After my friend got back from her trip we did girl time which involved pizza, nails, redone nails, and more pizza. Quite a time. However, I don’t have the nails polish names for these, because they were her polishes. The bottles she’s holding are from Urban Outfitters, and I do know the mint one is named Smush. I go blank after that. But they’re fun! Ahah. Her fingers remind me of candy.
So last night I did my nails twice. The first time was a cool argyle pattern that reminded me of sweaters- very preppy. But then as the night wore on and I kept staring at them, I decided there was just too much going on, and I ripped them off to start over. Using my new polishes I got at the Aveda spa yesterday after my massage, I ended up doing butterfly nails again! It’s been a while, and they’re so much fun that it was just about time for it to happen. Then, today I get a care package from my aunt. Along with the delicious triple chocolate chip cookies (heavenly), there was a little box containing an amazing butterfly necklace. I think it’s a strange coincidence that the first time in months that I have my butterfly nails on I get a butterfly necklace… Anyways, heres the pretties! I figured some of the shots needed to have the necklace in it, just as a homage to the strange coincidence. The pink is O.P.I. Riotously Pink, and the blue is O.P.I Teal The Cows Come Home. The black is Finger Paints Black Expressionism, and the white is just from a tiny nail art bottle with white polish inside. What do you think?
So, when I posted yesterday I was a sick and miserable person. And lonely, because when you’re Sick in college people try to keep a distance from you. As a result, I reached for some of my brightest summer neons Maybelline Fierce and Tangy, and China Glaze Hot Fun In The Summer-Lime. When my nails were just painted these colors I already started to perk up, but I needed more! I added in China Glaze Shower Together to add some contrast between all the brightness that was going on. And you know what? Between these nails and the jamba juice my friend brought me my mood picked up considerably, and I woke up this morning feeling a lot better. Maybe it was the medicine, but I am a believer in the power of positive thinking and cute nails! Ahah, so here they are!
Also, that bottle of Essie I am holding is called Grow Stronger, and it is a new basecoat I am trying out. I’ll let you know if it actually strengthens and lengthens my nails!
Hello everyone! I am currently sick and miserable, but before I came down with this miserableness I had another customer from down the hall! We decided to do Aztec nails, and I am digging the way they turned out. This was the first time I had done this on a persons nails, and I think I will be doing more in the future!
Doing these nails we used Ulta Picnic Time, Zoya Phoebe, and Finger Paints 15 Minutes Of Frame . Enjoy 🙂
I’m not going to lie- I am not a big Bob Marley fan. But he is big here on the college scene, so I am aware of him and his colors. Do you know what this lead to? I met a man named Michael who lives in my dorm, and twenty minutes later he was in my room letter me paint his nails. He’s extremely heterosexual, which made it even more fun. We then explored the third floor of my dorm, and spread word of my little nail painting business. A lot of people seemed interested too! So, enjoy these awesome rasta nails that Michael was manly enough to wear for a while :]
